Description
White Clay Learning Center understands that the public charter cyber schools have limitations in their generic,
prepackaged curriculums which offer no progressive, creative, enriching and intellectually stimulating forms of media.
As with our regular school curriculum, White Clay Learning Center’s comprehensive, individualized and progressive
cyber curriculum includes a wide variety of interactive websites, book materials and teacher-created materials
across all subject matter. These assignments are specifically designed to engage your child in all learning modalities
across the curriculum (please see Sneak-a-Peek). This program is designed for students in grades 4 –
secondary and
meets state requirements from our accredited Pennsylvania nonpublic school.
The Cyber/Correspondence program meets the needs of homeschooling families or those intermittent residents who
need this option for all or part of their school year. This program is available to students grades 4 – 8 and can
be started at any time. Although the students will not receive time and instruction through our valuable collaborative
and cooperative group setting, they will receive, weekly, personalized, custom-created, multi-media assignments which will
fulfill their entire academic curriculum.
Options/ Tuition
Our cyber school/correspondence program includes two options:
- Full Curriculum/Teacher Support
This option includes a weekly academic curriculum of activities, materials, websites and
skill work designed specifically for your child. It also includes access via computer with
our teachers who will offer guidance, evaluation, instruction and answers for your child. This computer time is scheduled on three mornings and two afternoons per week.
Students opting for this program would also be entitled to attend our weekly 1 1/2 hr. art
classes on Thursday afternoons.
Tuition for this program is $4,195.00 per academic year. There is also a nonrefundable
$125.00 registration/materials fee which is due upon the receipt of your application.
Tuition is due in full at the start of your child’s school year, or can be made in three
payments. The last payment is due by the third month of your child’s school year.
- Full Curriculum – No Teacher Support
This option offers the same curriculum materials as option 1. It does not include teacher support and would be
recommended only for the homeschooling parent who is able to monitor, evaluate and compile their child’s educational
program. Opting for this program would mean that the child is officially homeschooled, and needs to register as that
with their local school district.
Tuition for this program is $2,195.00 per academic year.
Payment method is the same as in option 1.
- Correspondence Program
The Correspondence Program is the same tuition as for our
regular attendance programs. Our students opting for this
program would follow the same schedule/format when they are out
of town, as the Full Curriculum/Teacher Support option.
Tuition for this program is $1,195.00 per academic year.
Payment method is the same as in option 1.
